A New "Normal" for us all...
Everyone is looking forward to returning to work and getting their hair done, but we will need to remember that the salon experience is going to be very different for both hairdressers and clients. We have very strict new guidelines to follow in moving forward, set by the California Department of Public Health, Cal/OSHA, and the California State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology.
For Clients:
If you have symptoms or have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 or who is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, stay home! You must take your temperature immediately before entering the salon. The CDC says there are a wide variety of symptoms, including but not limited to:
Fever or chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Our Workplace Plan will be posted for you to view, along with these guidelines!
Upon your arrival, please check in quickly to let us know you've arrived for your appointment. You may wait in our indoor waiting area or outside the salon, and we will let you know when we are ready for you.
We are offering beverage service again! Just let us know if you'd like coffee, tea, bubbly/still water, or beer/wine!
We strongly encourage everyone to continue to mask up! Your stylist may choose to wear a mask, although we have generally relaxed the masking requirement. Please check with your stylist upon arrival regarding mask wearing. We will continue to provide disposable masks.
Upon entering Seaweed, please immediately use hand sanitizer.
Children & additional guests are not allowed to accompany you at this time.
From Us:
We will be conducting self-assessments each day prior to entering the salon to ensure our temperatures are normal and we are not feeling/showing any symptoms of COVID-19.
We will provide you with a freshly laundered cape and towels throughout your appointment.
We are allowing extra time to ensure that the stations are sanitized between appointments, the reception area is sanitized between transactions, and the shampoo chairs/sinks are sanitized after each use.
We will be disinfecting our tools and implements after each use, and we will be washing our hands frequently.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone unwilling to follow our guidelines, and the stylist’s cancellation policies will be enforced at this time.
